Pirate Cake

Pirate Cake Gainesville Florida
Birthday Cake for a Pirate Themed Party

This week, we were asked to make a special Pirate Birthday Cake for an amazing girl, who (you guessed it), loves everything pirate. Our birthday girl takes center stage while her younger sister walks the plank. Mom and Dad are tied to a mast as our Pirate gets ready to set sail with her treasure chest.

Although every cake we bake has a special place in our heart, this cake has to be one of our favorites. The cake is adorned with fondant simulating a wooden pirate ship– complete with beach (brown sugar), ocean, and parrot. There are many details to the ship, including a cannon (with cannon balls), masts, fondant sails, windows, waves, treasure, and more. But don’t just read about it… the pictures are below:

  1. I’m designing a pirate ship cake for my son. The cake you did here is amazing. Love the little people touches which I assume are gum paste? Masts seem to be an issue. How did you get the fondant mast to be so thin and yet stay vertical like that? Well done. The brown sugar for the beach is a great idea as well. I was thinking crushed graham crackers with sugar and cinnamon. Thanks for your help.

  2. How much is the pirate cake?? I am wanting to do it for my son’s next birthday. We are doing alot of the stuff ourself, but I can not do the cake
