When Yeni first decided to bring her Tres Leches cake to Bearkery®, she knew it needed to be amazing. From her Colombian heritage, Tres Leches cake becomes more of an experience than a dessert— and much like pandebono, the history of the cake remains legend.
Some say tres leches is a Cuban delicacy… some say Mexican… Venezuelan… and so on. Everyone disagrees on the heritage, but all agree on one simple fact: you haven’t enjoyed a cake, until you’ve enjoyed a tres leches cake.
Light, airy sponge cake is combine with three different types of milk (get it? 3 milks?) − sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and heavy cream. We make an in-house whipped frosting that perfectly combines with the soaked cake.
Add to this a special Bearkery® touch… could be Salted Caramel… could be Key Lime… Berry reduction… or something seasonal. No matter which flavor that’s chosen, the experience and taste is nothing short of extraordinary. The tres leches cake is truly a Bearkery® signature item.
You can order an entire cake at our Gainesville bakery. Generally, we can have a fresh cake available within 24 hours (and may even have one or two on hand).
